GGhritam was born out of a simple yet powerful belief — that every cow deserves a life of dignity, care, and compassion. What started as a small effort to rescue a few abandoned and neglected cows has today grown into a thriving sanctuary, home to over 500 rescued cows. Each one of these gentle souls has a story — some were abandoned on the streets, some were injured and left to fend for themselves, and some were simply unwanted. At GGhritam, we gave them a second chance at life.
Our journey is rooted in the age-old Indian tradition of Gau Seva (service to cows), which teaches us that cows are not just animals, but sacred beings that nurture and sustain human life. Inspired by this philosophy, we built GGhritam — a name that reflects purity, nourishment, and the golden essence of tradition (Ghrit meaning "ghee," a symbol of purity in Indian culture).
How We Care for Our Cows
At GGhritam, cow welfare is not just a responsibility — it's our way of life. Out of the 500+ cows under our care, 220 are healthy dairy cows that give us pure, wholesome milk every single day. Their calves too are raised on the same pure, nutrient-rich milk, ensuring they grow up strong and healthy. Every cow at GGhritam is provided with:

- Nutritious Fodder – A balanced diet of high-quality, natural fodder, free from harmful chemicals, directly reflected in the purity of the milk.
